Deploying IPv6 Services in the Greek Schools Network

The deployment of IPv6 technology in the research and commercial networks has been accelerated in the last few years. Today, most of the National Research & Education Networks (NRENs) in Europe have deployed native IPv6 services, while G√ČANT, offers IPv6 transit connectivity in its service portfolio. Ongoing research is currently focused on migration challenges and provisioning of new advanced services. The Greek School Network (GSN) is the educational network that interconnects most of the primary and secondary schools in Greece. It recently upgraded its core network and part of the access network in order to support IPv6 interconnection services.
